Open Houses Begin at Drayden Schoolhouse
The St. Mary’s County Museum Division, in partnership with the Unified Committee for Afro-American Contributions (UCAC), will offer open houses at the Drayden African American Schoolhouse in Drayden on the first and third Saturday of the month from 11am to 2pm.

Free open houses at the Drayden African American Schoolhouse will be offered from 11am to 2pm Saturdays, September 6 and 20.
August Open Houses @ Drayden Schoolhouse
Free open houses will be offered at the Drayden African American Schoolhouse on the first and third Saturday of the month from 11am to 2pm. Dates include August 2 and 16, September 6 and 20, and October 4 and 18.
Juneteenth Event Planned in Lexington Park
The Unified Committee for Afro-American Contributions will recognize Juneteenth with a wreath-laying ceremony and celebration June 19 in Lexington Park. Events will run from 11am to 3pm.
Juneteenth Celebration Moves to Fairgrounds
The Unified Committee for Afro-American Contributions, along with the Minority Outreach Coalition, will host their annual Juneteenth Freedom Day event June 7, 2025, at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds.
