Pax Reopens Lanes @ Gates 1 & 2
Beginning Monday, September 19, 2022, Pax River is reopening additional inbound lanes to vehicle traffic at Gates 1 and 2. Gate 3 will be open for inbound and outbound traffic from 6-9 am.

Home Upgrade Grants for Qualified Owners
The Housing Authority of St. Mary’s County, Maryland is providing weatherization upgrade grants with funding from the Maryland Energy Administration. Qualified homeowners can receive no cost upgrades that save money on monthly utility bills and make homes more energy efficient.

Danish & Navy Ships Collide in Inner Harbor
At Maryland Fleet Week 2022, in the Baltimore Inner Harbor, a Danish training ship hit the moored USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul on Sunday morning. No injuries were reported and no serious damages to the Navy ship occurred.

MD Offers $1.6M to New Wind Companies
Offshore wind projects got a $1.6 million boost from the Maryland Energy Administration to fund additional projects by emerging companies. Grants will be awarded on a first-come first-serve basis for qualifying proposals until Jan. 1, 2023, or until all funding has been awarded.

No Bay Bridge Expansion Any Time Soon
Don’t expect another span across Chesapeake Bay any time soon. Maryland Transportation Authority officials say they have four or five years to analyze alternatives and assess environmental impacts and only then, if the state gets federal approval and funding can design and construction begin.
