Underground Railroad Network Adds 5 Sites in MD
Five historical sites in Maryland have been added to the National Park Service’s National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom. The new listings join more than 800 sites, facilities, and programs already in the network.
Sotterley Plans Day of Unity Celebration
Historic Sotterley is partnering with other local historic sites this year to promote stories from Southern Maryland for International Underground Railroad Month. It will offer three events, starting with a kickoff August 24 of the Day of Unity and Healing.
