Gray Named New Sotterley Exec. Director
Scott Gray has been named as executive director at Historic Sotterley. He assumes the position from Nancy Easterling, who announced her retirement in May.

Historic Sotterley will open its grounds to the public for its Day of Unity and Healing on August 23, 2025, in recognition of the UNESCO International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and Its Abolition.
Bankins New President of Sotterley Board
Gwendoline Bankins will lead Historic Sotterley as its new Board of Trustees president. She will be the first person in Maryland who was descended from those enslaved at a historic site to step into this leadership role.
