Iran proclaimed itself the first nation in the world to strike an US F-35 Lightning II and also that its military has downed more than 125 US-Israeli drones by Iran’s defense systems.
Bells of Peace Will Ring Nov. 11
The bells at St. Clement’s Island Museum and Piney Point Lighthouse Museum will toll at 11am November 11, 2025, to honor the 116,516 Americans, including the 27 St. Mary’s County natives, who died in World War I.
Navy’s Challenge: Try to Hack the Machine
Military and civilian participants are invited to join HACKtheMACHINE this week to help the US Navy solve digital, data, and cyber problems. The Office of Naval Research calls the hacking competition the “Blue Angels for geeks.”
US, Allies Charge Several in Ransomware Attacks
Europol said it has arrested five suspected hackers who are accused of ransomware attacks and are thought to be part of the ransomware gang REvil. The US Department of Justice also has charged a Ukrainian citizen linked to REvil for orchestrating a July ransomware attack against a US tech firm.
