Susie Glauner, executive director of the St. Mary’s County Arts Council, offered an end-of-the-year thank you in its latest newsletter highlighting the group’s accomplishments in 2025.
Hear the Seipp Kasparian Duo on Dec. 5
The Music from Poplar Hill series will feature Chuck Seipp and Raffi Kasparian in a concert December 5, 2025, in Valley Lee. Trumpeter Seipp recently retired from The US Army Band “Pershing’s Own” and is touring the eastern US as a duo recitalist with virtuoso pianist Kasparian.
Mural Unveiled at Pax River Village Center
Artist Rosalia Torres-Weiner has created a mural at the Pax River Village Center on Great Mills Road to honor the Latino community. “Painting this mural in Lexington Park has been such a gift!” she says.
Carver Arts Center & Makerspace Project Announced
The new Carver Community Arts Center & Makerspace will be located at the Carver Recreation Center in Lexington Park and will provide a 5,000-square-foot space for artistic and creative pursuits, offering expanded opportunities for the community to engage in the arts and technology.
