Hear the Seipp Kasparian Duo on Dec. 5

It’s no secret that the best of the best brass players are accepted into “Pershing’s Own” Army Band. Trumpeter Chuck Seipp recently retired from Pershing’s Own and is touring the eastern US as a duo recitalist with virtuoso pianist Raffi Kasparian.
Also a veteran of “Pershing’s Own,” Mr. Kasparian joins Mr. Seipp in an evening of brilliant performances in the sanctuary at St. George’s Episcopal Church.
The Music from Poplar Hill series is held at St. George’s in Valley Lee, MD. The performance will be held from 7:30 to 9:30pm December 5, 2025.
The church is 19167 Poplar Hill Lane.

Sgt. Maj. Seipp has performed in national, presidential, and historical world events as well as numerous significant ceremonies, concerts, and special events in Washington, DC, as well as funerals and wreath-laying ceremonies at the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.
Dr. Kasparian served 24 years as pianist for The US Army Chorus, the vocal counterpart of “Pershing’s Own,” based at Fort Myer near Washington, DC, one of the nation’s only professional all-male choruses, with whom he frequently performed at the White House, the Capitol, the Kennedy Center, and other well-known concert halls around the United States.
Created from the belief that music nourishes the spirit, enriches life, and promotes a sense of community, Music from Poplar Hill: The Jo Ricks Music Series embodies the spirit of Jo Ricks, a beloved member of the Southern Maryland community who had a gift for bringing people together through music.
The concert is sponsored in part by the St. Mary’s County Arts Council.
