St. Clement’s Extends Water Taxi Service to Island

Water Taxi

The water taxi service offered at St. Clement’s Island Museum will operate an extended season in November 2025, while the main museum building is being reconstructed and temporarily closed to the public.

The water taxi will operate daily from 10am to 2pm, but it will be closed on November 6, 19, 21, 22, 23, and 27. Cost is $4 per person, all ages. The museum encourages all who are interested in joining a cruise to call 301-769-2222 before visiting to ensure boat operations, as extenuating circumstances and adverse weather may prevent operation.

The museum store at St. Clement’s Island Museum will also be open daily 10am to 5pm throughout the winter, featuring a curated selection of items (limited inventory).

The other museums operated by the St. Mary’s Recreation & Parks Museum Division, including the Old Jail Museum & Visitor Center in Leonardtown and the Piney Point Lighthouse Museum & Historic

Park, will continue to be open daily from 10am to 5pm with regular admission, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, when they are closed.

The Drayden African American Schoolhouse will be closed until spring 2026, when it will reopen for special open houses.
