Hoyer: Historic Job Growth in Past 40 Months
The US Labor Department’s May 2024 jobs report shows that since President Joe Biden took office the US has added a “historic 15.6 million jobs, including 272,000 in May alone, and seen 40 months of consecutive job growth,” said Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD).
Chebi: Osprey Restrictions Will Remain Until 2025
House lawmakers questioned Pentagon officials last week about the V-22 Osprey’s safety record. During the hearing Wednesday, VADM Carl Chebi, head of US Naval Air Systems Command, said the aircraft will remain under safety restrictions until 2025.

Hoyer: IRS Direct File Now Permanent
The Internal Revenue Service is inviting all 50 states and Washington, DC, to use direct file as a permanent free tax filing option for filing season 2025, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer noted.
US Flag Code: Not a Law, an Honor
The US Flag Code is not legally enforceable, but adherence to it is considered a sign of patriotism and respect. The code formalizes and unifies the traditional ways in which we give respect to the US flag, and also gives specific instructions on how the US flag is not to be used.
