St. Mary’s County Public Schools is accepting online applications for the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts and the STEM Academy for the 2026-2027 school year. The deadline to apply is April 30.

The third annual Pre-Kindergarten Expo will be held 6 to 7pm Wednesday, March 4, at Great Mills High School. Pre-K students, families, and local private providers are invited to attend.

4th Year for Schools’ Music Education Award
St. Mary’s County Public Schools has received the Best Communities for Music Education designation for its commitment to music education. For the fourth consecutive year, the school system has been honored by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation with the award.
Update on Schools’ Summer Meal Program
St. Mary’s public schools’ summer meal service begins June 17 and continues until August 12, 2025. The school system will provide breakfast and lunch bulk five-day meal packs for children 18 and younger weekly on Tuesdays at five locations with two pick-up times.
Pre-K 4 Applications Being Accepted
Pre-Kindergarten 4 applications are now being accepted by St. Mary’s County Public Schools. All families are welcome to apply; however, income is the primary qualifier for eligibility.
