Applications are being accepted for the 2025 St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Citizens Academy, an eight-week program offering community members a behind-the-scenes look at local law enforcement. Deadline to apply is July 31.
Deputy Recruit Achieves US Citizenship
Mina Geric, a recruit at the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Office, realized her dream of becoming a US citizen when she took her oath of allegiance last month. Her next step: completing the training program at the Southern Maryland Criminal Justice Academy.
