St. Mary’s County Commission for Women is accepting nominations for its Woman of the Year and Woman of Tomorrow awards. The deadline to submit nominations is 5pm February 17, 2025.

The St. Mary’s County Commission for Women will hold its annual Woman’s History Month event March 18, 2023, in Lexington Park. Nominations for the Woman of the Year and Tomorrow’s Woman awards are being accepted.

St. Mary’s Women’s History Banquet Canceled
The St. Mary’s County Commission for Women has canceled the 2020 Women’s History Month Banquet, an event that honors women dedicated to providing outstanding community service. The banquet, originally scheduled for March 19, had previously been postponed in response to coronavirus concerns.
Women Honored for Contributions to Community
This year’s Women’s History Month banquet in St. Mary’s County celebrated three local women — Barbara Thompson, Lillian Cavanagh, and Patricia Brady — for their contributions to the county.
