The Great Mills pool will close from September 9-15 for the installation of its inflatable dome structure to transform it into an indoor swimming facility. The fun resumes on September 16.

The Great Mills Pool will adjust its weekday operating hours, beginning Monday, August 30, 2021. Normal weekend hours will continue.

Come to the Great Mills pool this weekend, May 29-31, to celebrate its summer opening. There will be open swim all three days from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and 3 to 6 pm.

The Great Mills pool will be closed for seasonal maintenance and to replace the dome structure to convert from the outdoor to the indoor pool from September 20-25, 2020.

The Great Mills Swimming Pool will close for seasonal maintenance Friday, May 10, through Friday, May 24. During this time, the pool’s air supported dome structure will be removed, converting the pool to an outdoor facility. Other seasonal maintenance and staff training also will take place while the pool is closed.

St. Mary’s County Recreation and Parks is seeking certified water safety instructors for swim lessons, starting in June for the Great Mills Pool.

The Great Mills Pool is scheduled to reopen to the public on Monday, March 19, 2018, at 8 am. It had been closed since March 5 to replace the inflatable bubble structure.
