County FEMA Rating Brings Flood Insurance Discounts
St. Mary’s County has earned a Class 7 rating under FEMA’s community rating system. As a result of the new rating, most NFIP flood insurance policyholders in St. Mary’s County will qualify for a 15% discount on their flood insurance premiums.
Oct. 4 Nationwide Emergency Alert Test
The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Communications Commission will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alerts on October 4, 2023.
