CSM Celebrates 58th Spring Commencement
More than 600 candidates for 912 degrees and certificates were celebrated at the College of Southern Maryland’s 58th spring commencement on May 18, 2017, at the La Plata Campus.
CSM Nursing Programs Re-Accredited
Two of the Health Sciences Division programs at the College of Southern Maryland have been re-accredited. The Associate Nursing Degree and Practical Nursing Certificate programs at the college have been granted eight years of accreditation with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
College to Honor Gottfried’s Legacy
The College of Southern Maryland and the CSM Foundation will celebrate the legacy and the many contributions of retiring President Dr. Brad Gottfried at a special evening June 3 at the newly opened Center for Trades and Energy Training at the CSM Regional Hughesville Campus.
Senior Health & Fitness Day Set at CSM
Staying healthy during the senior years can be a challenge; College of Southern Maryland’s Department of Wellness, Fitness, and Aquatics is here to make sure Southern Maryland residents are up to that challenge. The college will host National Senior Health & Fitness Day on all three campuses from 10 am to 1 pm May 31, 2017.

Students Create Prize-Winning PSAs
Four College of Southern Maryland students were honored for public service announcements they produced last semester as part of their digital media production class. Students from CSM and Towson University were invited to create and submit 30-second PSAs that warn state residents about the danger of items being stolen from cars in Maryland.
