Sleep in Heavenly Peace Seeks Volunteers

The local chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace is looking for volunteers to help build beds.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national organization dedicated to ensuring that no kids sleep on the floor. St. Mary’s County has a local chapter where you can get involved with its mission through helping sand or build beds.
No experience is needed, and all tools are provided at scheduled workdays throughout the year.
Volunteers are needed for the next round of workdays beginning on April 21.
Register to participate in the workday of your choice. You can also donate bedding, blankets, and pillows to the organization at any of the drop-off locations listed on its website.
To date, more than 1,200 beds have been donated in St. Mary’s County. Interested parties can also apply to receive a twin-sized bed for a child between the ages of 3 and 17.
