School’s Out, Art is In at Annmarie Garden
SOLOMONS MARYLAND – When schools are closed, Annmarie Garden is open and offers a wonderful educational opportunity for Grades K-2 and Grades 3-5.
Annmarie Garden will host School’s Out, Art Is In: Fantastic Fish on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Swim through the sea in search of schools of fish and discover all of the unique qualities they possess. Learn the Japanese art form of fish printing and make an interesting version of the game “Go Fish.” Pack a lunch, dress for a mess, and get ready for an undersea odyssey. Annmarie Garden will host School’s Out, Art Is In: Radical Reptiles and Awesome Amphibians on Monday, Nov. 12, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Slimy, scaly, slithery—what is the difference between a reptile and an amphibian? Learn all about these two different animal classes and make slithery art, slimy substances, and embark on a scaly scavenger hunt! Annmarie Garden will host artLAB Mom’s Club, 10 a.m. – noon, on Nov. 5, Nov. 19, Dec. 3, and Dec. 17. Discover your little one’s creative potential in the artLAB. These lightly guided sessions will help your child make great art, creative costumes, and new friends. Perfect for pre-schoolers, 3-5 years old. No registration required; $7 for parent/child pair; $2 for each additional child.
