Night of Engineering Set at CSM

College of Southern Maryland is hosting a Night of Engineering on Feb. 22, 2017, supported in part by The Patuxent Partnership.
The Night of Engineering is an excellent way for members of the community to get information about the college’s mechanical engineering partnership with the University of Maryland College Park and the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division. NAWCAD is located at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station in St. Mary’s County.
The event is set for 6 to 7:30 pm Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at CSM’s La Plata Campus in the Center for Business and Industry (BI Building) Room 113 at 8730 Mitchell Road.
CSM offers programs in the Science, Technology, Math and Engineering (STEM) fields that include computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, and physical sciences. The college’s Division of Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering helps its students to lay the foundation they need to be successful in bachelor’s level study or a rewarding career.
Many of CSM’s programs include internships, which are an excellent way for students to get a foot in the door of local employers. Partnerships with Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division and the University of Maryland College Park benefit CSM students directly and can lead to higher paying jobs right out of college for the best workers and students.
