Weed Warriors Cancel Event @ Myrtle Point

The Patuxent Tidewater Land Trust Weed Warriors have canceled the Saturday, February 7, 2026, event at Myrtle Point Park. “SORRY! Ice in the woods still too much. And it’s going to be very cold and gale force wind. Tree branches could fall on volunteers, so we need to cancel,” reads a notice from the group.

Next time, the Weed Warriors will ask you to bring your favorite tools: Loppers, hand saw, pruners, etc. Wear eye protection, gloves, and warm appropriate clothing. Fun for the whole family. Get outside with fresh air and gentle exercise. But only when it’s safe.
