Holiday Storytime for Kids in Lex Park
Join St. Mary’s County for a free and festive open house for all ages at the US Colored Troops Interpretive Center in Lexington Park featuring Christmas storytimes, holiday cookies, refreshments, and Santa and Mrs. Claus. The event will be held from 1 to 3pm Sunday, December 14, 2025.
This special event will feature:
- Two Polar Express Storytimes: Gather ’round for two special readings of the beloved holiday classic, “The Polar Express” at 1:30pm and 2:30pm. Children and parents alike are encouraged to wear their pajamas to truly capture the spirit of the story.
- Santa & Mrs. Claus: Meet the jolliest duo of the season – don’t forget to smile and capture the perfect holiday card moment.
- Holiday Treats: Enjoy delicious cookies and refreshments.
- Festive Fun for All Ages: Holiday coloring activities will be provided, and guests are encouraged to explore the fascinating exhibits at the interpretive center while there.
Visitors will also be able to view the exhibits at the interpretive center during this time.
US Colored Troops Interpretive Center is at 21675 S. Coral Drive in Lexington Manor Passive Park.
