Each year on April 10, the United States marks the day it takes a woman, on average, to earn the amount as a man who has been doing the same work if both had started on the first day of January. Congressman Steny H. Hoyer released a statement to acknowledge Equal Pay Day.

Make It In America Tour Visits Upper Midwest
House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer made his third Make It In America listening tour, traveling to the Upper Midwest in early April. The first stops were in Madison and then in Eau Claire, Wisc. The first two listening tours, held in November and February of last year, were in Las Vegas, Kansas City, Peoria, Pittsburgh, Toledo, and Indianapolis.
