Lex Park Library Open for Limited Use May 6-12
The Lexington Park Library will install new shelving starting May 6. The project should be finished by May 13. During that time, the lobby will be open, and customers can pick up their holds to checkout. The main part of the library will be closed to the public.

Two House lawmakers have introduced a bill that would help NASA improve its Advanced Capabilities for Emergency Response to Operations program so firefighters can more effectively use drones to improve aerial responses to wildfires.
May 4 Open House @ Drayden Schoolhouse
The St. Mary’s County Museum Division, in partnership with the Unified Committee for Afro-American Contributions (UCAC), will offer free open houses at the Drayden African American Schoolhouse in Drayden, one Saturday a month from 11am to 2pm. The next open house will be May 4.
Law Enforcement Appreciation Event Planned
St. Mary’s County citizens are invited to join in the celebration to honor this year’s Law Enforcement Officers of the Year and to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to the community.
Rotary’s Running of the Balls Fundraiser
