County Govt. Memorial Day Schedule
All St. Mary’s County government administrative offices will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Offices will resume normal operating schedules May 26.
The May 25 closure includes:
- St. Mary’s County Libraries (Charlotte Hall, Leonardtown, and Lexington Park)
- Senior Activity Centers (Garvey, Loffler, and Northern), and there will be no home-delivered meals
- St. Mary’s Transit System (STS)
- Department of Recreation & Parks indoor programs and facilities (exclusions below)
- Convenience centers and the St. Andrew’s landfill
- Animal Adoption and Resource Center
- St. Mary’s County Soil Conservation District
The following operations will be open May 25:
- Wellness & Aquatics Center (6am – noon)
- St. Clement’s Island Museum*, Piney Point Lighthouse Museum, and the Old Jail Museum
- Wicomico Shores Golf Course
- The Riverview Restaurant (8am – 4pm)
*Note: the St. Clement’s Island Museum is operating on a limited basis due to construction. Additional details can be found here.
Health Department Operations for Memorial Day Holiday
The St. Mary’s County Health Department will be closed May 25. This includes the main office in Leonardtown and all satellite offices. Normal operations will resume May 26.
