Food Service Operator Sought for Chancellor’s Run Park

Chancellor's Run Road Park

Proposals from experienced food service providers to operate a quick-service concession stand at Chancellor’s Run Regional Park are being sought by the St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation & Parks.

The selected provider will have the opportunity to restore food service at one of the county’s busiest recreational destinations and meet growing demand from park visitors and athletic leagues.

Located on Chancellor’s Run Road in Great Mills, the park features an array of athletic fields and recreational amenities, including baseball/softball fields, synthetic turf fields, grass multi-sport fields, sand volleyball courts, a playground and newly renovated basketball and pickleball courts. The park is also home to the Loffler Senior Activity Center and the centrally located Hall of Fame, where the concession stand is located. Families and sports teams often spend several hours at the facility, particularly on Saturdays when tournaments and league play are most active.

Applicants must have experience operating a restaurant with a physical location or providing full-service catering within the past five years. Proposals must include a sample menu, operating schedule, company qualifications, and references. See the request for proposal for full details.

Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-submission tour of the facility at the park Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 2pm. Proposals must be submitted electronically by 5pm Monday, March 30. A selection is expected by April 13, with food service operations beginning no later than May 16.

To submit a proposal or to ask additional questions, email Marguerite Cardenuto at [email protected].
