Scuba With Santa Returns Dec. 6

St. Mary’s Department of Recreation & Parks will host Santa Claus on Saturday, December 6, at the Wellness & Aquatics Center in Leonardtown.

Join the professionals of Southern Maryland Divers for a short Discover Scuba course to learn the basics of scuba diving, then have your photo taken with Santa—underwater.

The event will be held from noon to 4pm at the Wellness & Aquatics Center on the College of Southern Maryland campus in Leonardtown at 22950 Hollywood Road.

Registration is required, and participants must be 8 or older. Anyone younger than 18 will need to have a parent on site to sign waivers.

To register for Scuba with Santa, visit www.stmaryscountymd.gov/Recreate and select Online Registration. Event information and registration can be found in the “Wellness & Aquatics Center” section. Registration is $10 for St. Mary’s County residents and $15 for non-residents.

All equipment is provided. Participants should bring a bathing suit and towel. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your reserved time slot for paperwork and gear fitting. Participants will need to provide a valid email address to access their photos with Santa. A link will be emailed after the event once the pictures have been processed.

Important Event Information:

You must be able to answer NO to ALL questions on the medical waiver linked below, OR, if you answer YES to ANY of the questions, you must have the medical waiver signed by a physician (and bring that signed copy to the event). There are no exceptions to this requirement.
