Bag Hunger Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are being sought for the third annual Bag Hunger event in Southern Maryland to be held Saturday, September 28.

Organizers say it is a fun, easy way to give back to the community in need while working with family, friends, parishioners, other churches, and the community. All ages are welcome. The young kids can color boxes. Others can mix ingredients, seal meals, or pack boxes. These are low-impact activities (some seated). A few are not.

As in past years, volunteers will prepare 30,000 meals in six hours with 200 volunteers at All Saints Church in Sunderland, MD.

This year’s effort will be limited to four sites.
