The St. Mary’s County commissioners and the commanding officer of Naval Air Station Pax River will hold a joint meeting at 9am Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum.
Visitors planning to attend some Maryland state parks are required to make reservations prior to arrival at the park.
Applications are being sought from specialized medical professionals to serve on the St. Mary’s County Adult Public Guardianship Review Board. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Local students have until April 1 to apply for a Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative scholarship. SMECO offers four $2,500 scholarships to high school students who excel in their endeavors and show promise in their chosen field of study.
