Boeing TPP’s Newest Benefactor
The Boeing Co., a longtime member and supporter of The Patuxent Partnership, has become TPP’s newest benefactor. As a founding member of TPP, Boeing has supported the Partnership since its inception in the 1990s.

Apply Now for Fall ’16 at SMHEC
This past year, 186 students received bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees or graduate certificates offered at SMHEC. Of that group 109 received master’s degrees, two received doctorates, and 56 received bachelor’s degrees. Plus 19 more received certificates in education.
Two Earn TPP Engineering Scholarships
The 2016 TPP Pathways to Engineering scholarship recipients are James Grizzle of Chopticon High School and Allan Li of Great Mills High School. Both young men have demonstrated extraordinary academic achievement while attending high school and have chosen to pursue careers in engineering.
Destination Imagination Team 1st in State
Students at Father Andrew White SJ School who are on the Destination Imagination team Hidden Six took first place in the state of Maryland in their division’s challenge and were invited to compete in the DI Global Competition. The team was applauded by The Patuxent Partnership.
First-Ever Cyber Camp Planned
Don’t let the kids sit around and be bored all summer long – let The Patuxent Partnership help them grow their brains. TPP will partner with St. Mary’s County Public Schools to offer the first-ever Cyber Camp for students who are entering into grades 7 and 8.
Quadcopter Team Goes to Nationals
The Tradition of Roman Catholic Homeschoolers – TORCH – took home the regional title in the quadcopter competition recently at Greenwell State Park in Hollywood. Now the homeschool team will vie for the national drone title this summer. The local contest was sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership
Hoyer Hosts Annual Military Service Academy Forum
The annual Military Service Academy Forum at Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro was held for 5th District students and their parents to learn about admission to the five US service academies.
