Communities surrounding Naval Air Station Patuxent River are advised that noise-generating testing events are scheduled to take place February 17, 2026, from 6 to 9pm.

With colder weather settling in, volunteer drivers are needed for Wrapping Arms ‘Round Many, or WARM, an emergency shelter program for people experiencing homelessness in St. Mary’s County.
NAWCAD Premieres Pax River Documentary

Community Resource Day Set Sept. 25
St. Mary’s County Homeless Prevention Board will hold its Community Resource Day on September 25, 2025, at the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department in Lexington Park.
GM Pool to Close for Maintenance, Then Reopen Sept. 27
The Great Mills swimming pool will be temporarily closed from September 18-26 for reassembly of the bubble enclosure and completion of bi-annual maintenance. The pool will re-open as an indoor pool September 27, 2025.
They’re Setting a ‘Mousetrap’ at Three Notch
Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” will be performed at Three Notch Theatre in Lexington Park from September 26 to October 12, 2025. Tickets are now on sale.
Blue Angels to Perform at Pax in 2026
The US Navy’s Blue Angels are scheduled to perform at the NAS Patuxent River Air Show on June 20-21, 2026. The event will be free and open to the public.
