CSM Has Nursing Associate-to-Bachelor Pathway
Associate-To-Bachelor’s nursing degree pathways are available at CSM. These pathways, which include agreements with Frostburg State University and Stevenson University Online, give students the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree potentially faster and more affordably.
Who’s Who on St. George Island–“Baby Lena” Denny
Lena Marie “Baby Lena” Denny was a “Tom Boy,” growing up on St. George Island, who climbed the Silver Maple trees in her yard until Hurricane Hazel blew them down and missed the school bus on purpose to ice skate on the creek with her best buddy Tommy Poe.
Wrecked Plane Thought to Be 1940-50s Navy Aircraft
An Eastern Shore TV station news helicopter discovered what appears to be a crashed plane in the waters of Wroten Island in Dorchester County. The wreck site is surrounded by trees and marsh, so the only visibility is from above. A Navy underwater archaeologist believes the aircraft is from the 1940s or ’50s. It has NATC on the tail portion, according to the report.

Thompson New Emergency Communications Chief

The third annual Veterans Resource Day, presented by the St. Mary’s County Department of Aging & Human Services, is set for Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center at 44219 Airport Road in California, Md. The event will take place from 9 am to 2 pm.
