TPP Pushes Scholarship Deadline to June 15
The Patuxent Partnership Pathways Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to students majoring in engineering, computer science, or cybersecurity at the College of Southern Maryland, to support STEM workforce development at NAWCAD. The deadline to apply is June 15.

Navy’s CNO Gilday in Self-Quarantine
Chief of Naval Operations ADM Mike Gilday will be quarantined for a week after coming into contact with a relative who has the coronavirus. Gen. Joseph Lengyel, head of the National Guard, tested positive on Saturday but then tested negative the same day in another test. A third test was planned Monday.

The Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival at St. Clement’s Island Museum scheduled for July has been canceled.

STS Buses to Add Additional Route
St. Mary’s Transit System has added Bus Route 3 and will begin running the service every other hour along Route 5 from Lexington Park to Leonardtown from 6 am-6 pm Monday-Friday starting May 13.
