Rural Legacy Grants Awarded in St. Mary’s
Two areas in St. Mary’s County will receive grant funding from the Maryland Rural Legacy Program. The Huntersville Rural Legacy Area will receive $1,474,971 and the Mattapany Rural Legacy Area has been awarded a grant of $771,543.

Sepsis is a potentially deadly condition, but it can be treated. MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown has been working for the past year to increase efforts to recognize sepsis early, treating it quickly to ensure the condition doesn’t cost a patient his or her life.
Hospital’s Atrium Launches Transformation
Renovations planned for MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital’s popular atrium dining room will create an expanded new space to better serve the patients, families, friends, and those who care for them. The significant renovation will be completed in spring 2018.
